About us

Unique electric bicycle tours shaped by decades of exploring Vietnam

Our mission is to contribute to the environmental sustainability of  Vietnam by offering our clients pedal assisted electric bicycle tours to explore and discover Vietnam’s unique nature and cultures.

Powered where possible by renewable energy sources, we aim to bring an electric smile to all our stakeholders; clients, partners, staff and to the local communities, both urban and rural, who are key contributors to the value of the services we provide.

Our Story

In 2008 during Beijing Olympic Games  Guim was living and working in Beijing, and decided to travel around the world by pedal assist electric bicycle.

He put the Electric Bicycle World Tour together and working with ebike producers in China, prepared a custom bike that would take him on his life changing journey on a solar powered electric bicycle designed by himself, with London 2012 Olympic games on his mind as his destination.

The dream of Electric Smiles was born.

The Electric Bicycle World Tour project took him 3 years touring around the world raising people’s awareness about this means of transport and it’s combination with solar energy. He had plenty of time to meet people, received extensive media coverage and made presentations at TEdx and at the Shanghai World Expo. And it was during those daily encounters with people around the world, that he realized that the best way to convert people into e-bikers was to let them jump on his own ebike and try ebike touring. As soon as they tried it, everyone had the same reaction, and Electric Smiles began to take shape.
